Full description
A large round barrow on the summit plateau of Kit Hill was noted by Sandy Gerrard during the survey of Kit Hill summit and was interpreted by Herring and Thomas (h1, h2). This barrow is overlain on its western side by the bank of civil war earthwork (15064) and is cut into on its eastern side by stone splitting pits. It is a simple upturned bowl form 25.5m in diameter and up to 0.8m high. It forms part of the Kit Hill linear barrow group (15002) (b1). The monument is included within the Scheduled area.
